Every life contains a curriculum

Stories of learning that rarely appears on a certificate.

These launch examples illustrate the kinds of experience the University of Life is being designed to recognise. They are not yet verified award recipients.

“I managed three children, a household budget, school appointments and caring for my mother. I never called it leadership, but it was.”
Illustrative profile: family and care leadership
“Thirty years on the tools taught me diagnostics, customers, risk and calm decision-making. I had knowledge; I just lacked the language for it.”
Illustrative profile: technical practitioner
“I built a small company without a business degree. The profile helped me see that sales, negotiation and operations were genuine capabilities.”

Help shape the first real stories

At launch, we want to work with a small founding group: parents, carers, tradespeople, founders, employees, volunteers and community leaders. Their feedback will help us test whether the language feels accurate, dignified and genuinely useful.

We will never publish a person’s story without clear permission.
